Why You Should Consider A Major Sponsorship Investment In The Historic Old Sacramento Foundation (HOSF)
Amongst the start and stop initiatives to revitalize downtown Sacramento, business leaders can all agree that one of our most successful and cherished core assets is our area’s only National Historic District Landmark: OLD SACRAMENTO.
In short, Old Sacramento is a huge success which has cultivated, promoted and increased downtown economic activity regardless of the economic times. Consider the following:
- Annual visitation has increased during the last five years.
- Annual revenue to the City of Sacramento (through District parking revenue, sales tax revenue and usage fees) is an impressive $4.3 million and growing.
- Old Sacramento is the #1 attraction in the Sacramento region.
- The historic district welcomes 2-3 million visitors annually.
The goal of the HOSF is to realize the area’s potential as California’s hub of historic education and preservation. By broadening the historic and cultural offerings of Old Sacramento, the story of California’s beginnings can be preserved and shared in a way that truly brings history to life. The HOSF is committed to providing high quality educational programs and events for Sacramento residents and visitors alike.
The Historic Old Sacramento Foundation offers many opportunities for sponsors to contribute to programs and events that are meaningful and positive additions to the Sacramento community. Categories and funding options are designed to give donors the benefit of witnessing the impact of their contributions and to experience history alongside Sacramento’s residents and visitors.
The Underground Tour program, Historical Street Theatre Program, Gold Rush Days, and the educational programs and exhibitions at the Sacramento History Museum require funding to meet their optimum potential. Sponsors of these programs support the continuation of high quality, historically-accurate activities and unique learning experiences for all ages and all demographics, taking Old Sacramento to its rightful place as a historic landmark of international importance.
